Whether you are newly diagnosed, in treatment, gathering strength, a survivor, or thriving, yoga can further your recovery and help you feel whole again. You may even find new confidence you have never known.

Not all yoga classes are right for cancer patients and survivors. And for some, taking a yoga class can be intimidating because of the unique physical and emotional needs that cancer and its treatments bring.

y4clogoAll y4c classes and private sessions:

• build strength & flexibility in safe ways;
• stimulate your immune system & build bone density;
• detox the body & cultivate a sense of well‐being;
• create hope & nurture acceptance;
• alleviate depression & anxiety;
• empower you to take control & enhance your life.

(Check out photos from my yoga for cancer teacher training at the bottom of this page)

Private sessions can help address any concerns you may have about entering into a regular y4c class. And, some people just prefer to work individually. I can integrate the y4c method with other healing modalities… restorative yoga and Reiki, aromatherapy and essential oils, mantra work, and more.

I am a certified y4c yoga instructor. (See photos below from my training at Kripalu with Tari.) y4c is an internationally recognized program developed by Tari Prinster. I am indebted to Tari for her wisdom, training, and support in following this beautiful path.

I’ve spent most of my life loving and caring for people living with cancer. I was eight years old when my sister was diagnosed at age two with a rare kidney cancer, and not expected to live. She has subsequently survived thyroid and breast cancer and lives a full and rich life today. My mom contracted two separate forms of cancer in one year, bladder and lung, and lived to tell the tale. Over seven years out and she’s doing great! My dad, sadly, succumbed to cancer when I was 21 after many years of battling it. Thankfully, I ‘m the one member of my immediate family who has not yet had to contend with the big C. It is my experience supporting my mother, sister, and father through cancer that has inspired me to bring my passion for yoga and healing to people living and thriving with cancer as well as their caregivers.
